Did you know the southernmost point in the USA where snow has fallen was in Homestead, Fl., near Miami, during an outbreak of bitter cold on Jan. 19, 1977. The snow fell about 25 miles north of the bridge from the Florida mainland to the Keys, the first and only time it’s snowed that far south in Florida’s weather history.
